Catch up!!!!!

Wow! Is Mommy a slacker?!?!?
It's been over 2 months since our last post and we've been busy!
When the weather was still semi-nice, we went to Black Bart's Pumpkin Patch and picked out some pumpkins for our house.

This was Matt's pick...
Matt & Addi in the wagon we needed in order to cart around our pumpkins.

Addi's pick (just her size)

Then...we went to the Wisconsin Dells with some friends, the Humphres Family.

We love the water and had so much fun at the indoor water parks. With school in session, it was like we were the only people there...no lines!!!!!

Here's Matt cheesin' before he gets in the water

A couple of days after we got home Aunt Karen, Morgan, Aunt Karen's mom, J.D. and Levi all came and stayed at our house a couple of nights. Here is a picture of the grandkids with Grandma Simpson and Great-Grandma Fellers.

Then, the next day we went to Aurora to celebrate Ethan's 7th birthday!!!
Here is the birthday boy

Addi didn't want to get in the picture with all of the kids, but Matt had no problem.

We've been really busy...we even changed daycares/schools to one where we live (instead of where mommy works); this way we're getting to know the kids we will be going to school with.

We'll try to keep you updated as much as possible!

Love to all!!!!

A day at the zoo

We spent this past Sunday at the Scovill Park Zoo in Decatur with Grandma & Grandpa Simpson and our cousin, Sheradan. The pictures aren't in order of our day because Mommy is too tired to switch them...

Here is Addi running toward Grandma and Sheradan. The playground right outside of the zoo is great and the kids loved it!

Mommy's lil' climber...

Addi had to take the steps...her legs are just too short.

There is an 8' rock climbing wall that Matt climbed all by himself quite a few times. He absolutely loves to climb!!!

The group riding the carousel

In front of the choo-choo train

The cheetahs were napping since they had killed some sort of animal and had eaten most of it for lunch...it was rather disgusting!

Matt loved the camels

It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun...can't wait to go back again!!!

'Cation

This is what we call 'vacation'!

We had a blast in Branson and are so happy that Aunt Ferfer, Brad and Sheradan went with us! Mommy didn't get too many pictures (Aunt Ferfer needs to e-mail Mommy some of hers ) and was upset she couldn't take pictures in the Dixie Stampede. Matt didn't eat because he was afraid he would miss something and Addi literally cheered every time the horses came out. It was too cute!

Here we are on our balcony with Sheradan!
It's not a 'cation if you can't rough-house with your family...

We rode the ducks right in the middle of our nap time...Sheradan's lap was pretty comfortable for Addi.

Matt fell asleep right next to Mommy...

Mommy thought we would like to see when the ducks go into the water, so she woke us up. We would have woken up even if she hadn't woken us up...

Here is a picture from the top of one of the 'mountains'...

Matt got to drive the duck once it was in the water. He wanted to focus on the driving and the Captain kept trying to get him to look at the camera for the picture...this was the compromise.

Addi loved playing with Sheradan. Here she is climbing on Sheradan's back while she's trying to have a quiet snack...

Sheradan in the pool...

The Lessen Family in the pool...
We had so much fun and can't wait to go on another 'cation!!!
We hope you all had a Happy 4th!

The Pattons and Lessens

Our Godmother, Renee, came to visit last weekend. We always have fun when the Pattons are in town. We spent some time with our friends, Hannah and Emme and had a lot of fun! Here we are just before the Pattons have to leave. Look at Matt...that face is so funny!
We're leaving tomorrow to go to Branson for the weekend! Mommy says she hopes to take lots of pictures, but she's been forgetting her camera lately...
We hope you all have a safe and happy 4th of July!

Party, party, party

Between Jeremy's going away party and Addi's birthday party, we are pretty much partied out...at least till next weekend!

The 2 year old picture, taken Friday evening!

Here we are at our cousin, Jeremy's, house on Saturday. Uncle Earle is showing us the hose in the back yard.

Jeremy is a fireman in Granite City. Here is Addi wearing his helmet.

Jeremy is leaving to go to Afghanistan for 6 months. We want everyone to pray for him and the rest of our Armed Forces. We love you, Jeremy!

Addi's 2nd Birthday party was Sunday. Here is a picture of her cake...Mommy says Donna Vaughan cake is the only cake she'll eat. Mmmmmm!

Matt got into singing "Happy Birthday" just as much as everyone else.

Trying to blow out the candles...

Matt had to help!
